If you're planning a trip to Paris, don't forget to visit La Centrale, the city's new food hall. The three-level space is home to 14 different Italian restaurants and five bars. In addition to food, you can also check out the upscale sit-down restaurants and caffe. The second floor features a chocolate shop, two chocolate fountains, and 16 rotating gelato flavors. The third floor features a cocktail bar, a chocolate shop, and a wine bar.
The mission of La Centrale is to promote the work of women through the arts. Founded in 1993, the gallery was originally founded to address the under-representation of women in the art world. However, its mandate has since expanded to include post-colonialism and transfeminism. No longer a women-only space, the group has branched out into other areas, such as digital media and classified advertising. The gallery has also moved several times, and its current location at Saint Laurent Boulevard is a great addition.
After completing the renovation of La Centrale, the studio opened a new 40,000-square-foot food hall called Luna Park. Located on the second floor, Luna Park has concepts ranging from grab-and-go to fine dining. The restaurant is anchored by an Italian marketplace, and there are also five sit-down restaurants, a gelato shop, and a wine cellar. After all, if you can't make it to the new space, you can always return to La Centrale.
